Amazon's Kindle Software team is looking for a Principal Product Manager-Technical to build innovative AI experiences for the millions of people who use and and love Kindle's devices and apps every day. In this role, you'll shape the future of reading by defining fundamental building blocks for cross-cutting experiences on Kindle and across Amazon.
The successful candidate will have experience leading “must-have” consumer apps, combining passion for amazing customer experiences with the ability to work closely with design and engineering. Successful candidates will have experience setting strategy, designing roadmaps to incrementally deliver customer value, and directly managing all aspects of the product roadmap. She or he must be highly analytical and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and apps that customers love.
Key job responsibilities
• Own end-to-end product strategy and roadmaps for core experiences on Kindle, working closely with engineering, design, and ML teams to deliver delightful user experiences
• Define key user journeys and use cases that leverage generative AI to enhance reading comprehension, discovery, and engagement
• Drive product requirements through deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and technological capabilities
• Serve as a key influencer in developing and auditing business strategy, contributing significantly to the overall Kindle strategy, and customer engagement and analytics.
• Work with teams across Amazon and Books, and cross-functionally with engineering, design, and research to deliver an inspiring product roadmap that balances short term wins with long term bets based on that vision.
• Role is global in nature and will work with teams in other countries.
About the team
The Kindle Software Product Management team owns the customer facing software experiences across all Kindle devices and apps - how you read, navigate, acquire content and more. Our mission is to be the world's favorite place to read, write and get more out of reading.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
