Multiple Offices - Corporate Finance Associate

Opportunity:

Akin’s Finance group is seeking highly qualified associates with 3 to 5 years of finance experience to join one of our New York, Dallas, Houston, LA, Boston or Chicago offices. Stellar academic credentials and comparable law firm experience are required. Candidates must be admitted to, and in good standing with, the bar of the state in which they intend to practice.

About the Practice:

Akin's Debt Finance Practice advises many of the world’s leading private credit, private equity and other investment funds, public and private companies, and financial institutions to access and deploy capital and restructure debt across borders, industries, and asset classes. Our team is often at the center of precedent-setting, bespoke financings across the full spectrum of capital structures and transactions in the debt finance market.  We are active in representing both debtors and creditors in debt restructuring matters.

On the private credit side, we work with credit investors to creatively structure a wide range of forward-thinking and novel credit investments. This includes direct lending to private equity sponsors in connection with an acquisition, structuring financing solutions to stressed and distressed companies, and funding growth capital transactions to emerging technology companies.

On the private equity side, we work with leading private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in leading both large-cap and middle-market debt finance matters, including major leveraged buyouts, domestic and cross-border acquisitions and other leveraged financings, senior secured debt, high yield, bridge financings, and asset-based facilities, together with general corporate finance matters.

This position is required to be available to work in person. All employees are required to comply with the firm’s employment policies.

The base salary range for this position in New York City is $225,000 to $420,000. Additional information about benefits and rewards can be found here.
