- Support CPS 230-aligned oversight of material DUA and MGA service provider arrangements, including operational resilience, materiality assessment, service performance, issue escalation and exit planning requirements.
- Maintain clear governance records, management information, committee papers and reporting to enable timely oversight, decision-making and escalation of emerging risks or control gaps.
- Partner with underwriting teams to ensure delegated authority, binder, bordereaux and agreed service arrangements are understood, appropriately monitored and operating as intended.
- Identify and support remediation of governance, control, data quality, reporting, compliance or performance issues relating to DUA and MGA arrangements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of DUA and MGA processes, templates, reporting and operating practices, balancing commercial outcomes with prudent underwriting, risk and regulatory discipline.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience in delegated underwriting, MGA, binder, coverholder, underwriting governance, insurance operations, risk, compliance or related insurance disciplines.
- Sound understanding of insurance underwriting controls, delegated authority management, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, issue escalation and partner performance oversight.
- Working knowledge of governance and regulatory expectations relevant to outsourced, delegated or third-party insurance arrangements, including APRA CPS 230 and related operational risk, resilience and service provider obligations.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to review bordereaux, performance metrics, control evidence, issues and trends to identify risks and practical management actions.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare management information, committee papers and stakeholder updates for senior audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work constructively across underwriting, distribution, operations, claims, legal, compliance, risk, finance and regional or global teams.
- Organised, delivery-focused and comfortable managing competing priorities, detailed governance requirements and time-sensitive business requests.
